Asrang, Kinnaur to Spiti valley trek Via Larsa We

After the Larsa Pass, the trail descends to the Pin valley in Spiti. It is one of the most beautiful treks and is one of the least explored trails. This is definitely one of the roads less traveled.

Our fixed departures for 2023 is scheduled for August 14th. We can arrange customized trek if the dates are not suiting your plan.

Itinerary

Reception at Shimla and drive up to Kalpa from Shimla. The scenery along the way is really beautiful and the winding roads passes through Kufri and Narkanda and lead us up to Kapla. Reach Kalpa by late afternoon and check into a hotel in Kalpa. Explore the surrounding area and enjoy the backdrop view of Kalpa with the Kinnaur range of mountains overlooking the town.

Day 1: Shimla – Kalpa

Reception at Shimla and drive up to Kalpa from Shimla.

Day 2: Kalpa – Asrang

Have breakfast and drive from Kalpa to Asrang. The journey is very pleasant and offers awesome view of the mountains. Dinner and overnight stay in village homestay in Asrang.

Day 3: Asrang– Pulling

Start from Asrang and pass the Hamlet of Tokto, the trail is along the right bank of Taiti to Porangkanda. From Porang, the climb is steep and we finally reach Pulling. We camp for the night in the sloping meadows of Pulling.

Day 4: Pulling – Bicho Thach

We trek up from Pulling to Bicho Thach passing Kangte on the way which is a high point on the way.

Day 5: Bicho Thach – Tapang

This is a long trail but is moderate in terms of being strenuous and is along the right bank of the river and by late afternoon we reach Tapang. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.

Day 6: Tapang–Larsa

The climb today is steep and a little difficult compared to the previous days. We trek on the glacier to Larsa today. Dinner and overnight stay in Larsa.

Day 7: Larsa – Ansa Sumdo

Today we start from Larsa and cross the Larsa We pass and go to Ansa Sumdo. Dinner and overnight stay in Ansa Sumdo.

Day 8: Ansa Sumdo – Tailing Village

Today we trek down to the village of Tailing. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.

Day 9: Tailing– Kaza

We drive from Tailing to Kaza. Overnight in Hotel/Village homestay in Kaza.

Day 10: Kaza–Manali

We start early and drive from Kaza to Manali via the famous Kunzum Pass and the Rohtang
