Description

Audens Col Trek Package – 3 Pass Expedition in Uttarakhand

The auden col trek package is a high-altitude Himalayan expedition designed for experienced trekkers seeking extreme adventure in Uttarakhand. Audens Col is one of the most technical mountain passes in India, located at an elevation of 5,400–5,490 meters, connecting two massive glacier systems—the Khatling Glacier and the Jogin-I Glacier.

About Audens Col Trek

Audens Col is named after J. B. Auden, who first successfully crossed this formidable pass in 1939–40. The pass forms a crucial link between the Gangotri and Jogin mountain ranges and stands as a gateway between the Rudragaira Valley (north) and the Bhilangna Valley (south).

The summit connects the ridge from Gangotri III (6,580 m) in the northwest with the ridge descending from Jogin I (6,465 m) in the east, making the auden col trek package a true test of endurance, glacier travel, and technical mountaineering skills.

Route: Gangotri to Kedarnath via Audens Col

The auden col trek package begins at Gangotri, one of the most sacred Himalayan towns. The route includes a stunning acclimatization side trek to Kedartal (4,780 m), followed by an ascent to Patangani Dhar (4,900 m).

From here, trekkers descend into the Rudragaira Valley, which provides access to the Audens Col pass. Situated at 5,490 meters above sea level, Audens Col lies dramatically between the Gangotri and Jogin peaks, offering unmatched views of glaciers, moraines, and high Himalayan ridgelines before the trail finally leads toward Kedarnath via the Khatling Glacier.

Permits for Audens Col Trek

A trekking permit is mandatory for the Audens Col expedition. All trekkers must obtain authorization from the Uttarkashi local administration, along with an official entry permit for Gangotri National Park issued by the Director’s Office at Uttarkashi.

The auden col trek package includes all permit and documentation charges, ensuring compliance with local regulations and a seamless trekking experience.
